What is SCAPE Bin-Picking?
Scape Technologies develops and sells highly flexible automated bin-picking systems that are applicable in many areas of the production and manufacturing industry. Bin-picking, otherwise known as pallet-picking, is a production task that occurs when products or product parts are unloaded from a bin or pallet to be processed. Scape Technologies has created a patented solution that gives robot arms the ability to locate and pick individual parts from a jumble of parts piled haphazardly in a container such as a bin or a pallet.
Our patented vision technology is at the core of our product, SCAPE Bin-Picker. With it, SCAPE Bin-Picker uses standard industrial cameras to locate precise positions of the parts lying in the container. Using a standard industrial handling robot, parts can then be moved to the next step in the production process. Automation cells that use our product can handle parts that lie uniformly or haphazardly in the container.
